Sedan den 31 mars 1870 har SÄLLSKAPET sina lokaler i fastigheten Arsenalsgatan 7, som byggdes för ändamålet och som helt övergick i SÄLLSKAPETs ägo den 31 mars 1877. Fastigheten är ritad av arkitekten Johan Fredrik Åbom och inrymmer också en kopia av den bankettlokal denne ritade för det gamla Hotel Rydberg vid Gustaf Adolfs Torg och som idag utgör Sällskapets Stora Matsal. Förutom ett flertal mycket vackra och ändamålsenliga klubbrum liksom biljard- och spelrum inrymmer också byggnaden ett av landets största privatägda bibliotek.

Idag har SÄLLSKAPET över 2000 ledamöter med H.M. Konung Carl XVI Gustaf som förste hedersledamot och HKH Prins Carl Philip, Hertig av Värmland, som hedersledamot. Drygt sjuttio ledamöter har idag tillhört Sällskapet i 50 år eller längre.

SÄLLSKAPET är inte en politisk eller religiös klubb utan har som uppgift att skapa en god miljö för umgänge och trevnad. Klubben erbjuder sina ledamöter ett digert utbud av programpunkter i form av föredrag och debatter inom ett vitt fält intresseområden samt möjlighet till luncher och middagar både i gemenskap eller med individuella gäster.

SÄLLSKAPET har tecknat samarbetsavtal med ett stort antal klubbar världen över.

Ordningsföreskrifter och klädkod

Since 31st of March 1870, SÄLLSKAPET has had its premises in the property Arsenalsgatan 7, which was built for the purpose and was acquired by SÄLLSKAPET on 31st of March 1877. The property was designed by the architect Johan Fredrik Åbom and also houses a copy of the banquet room he designed for the old Hotel Rydberg at Gustaf Adolfs Torg and which today constitutes the club’s Large Dining Room. In addition to a number of very beautiful and purposeful club lounges as well as a billiards and games rooms, the building also houses one of the country’s largest privately owned libraries.

Today, the club has over 2000 members with H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf as first honorary member and HRH Prince Carl Philip, Duke of Värmland, as honorary member. More than seventy members have today belonged to the club for 50 years or longer.

SÄLLSKAPET is not a political or religious club. It has as its purpose to create a good environment for socializing and comfort. The club offers its members a huge range of programs in the form of lectures and debates in a wide range of areas of interest as well as the opportunity for lunches and dinners both with club members or with invited guests.

SÄLLSKAPET has signed reciprocal agreements with a large number of clubs around the world.
